I. Conference Overview

The 2026 China Sustainable Industry Conference and Exhibition (ChinaSIC 2026) will be held from 25 to 27 November 2026 in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China. Focusing on the renewable carbon economy and the transition to sustainable industry, ChinaSIC 2026 is designed to serve as a high-level platform that brings together scientific innovation, industrial practice, market development, and international collaboration.

As the global transition to carbon neutrality accelerates, the chemical, materials, energy, and transportation sectors are undergoing fundamental change. Renewable carbon solutions-including non-food biomass, carbon dioxide utilization, green fuels, and liquid sunshine fuels-are emerging as critical solutions for low-carbon industrial development. ChinaSIC 2026 will address the latest technologies, commercialization pathways, market demand, and policy landscape in these fields, with the aim of accelerating collaboration from fundamental research to industrial-scale deployment.

The conference will feature four major thematic forums covering: (1) high-value utilization of non-food biomass, (2) green fuels and sustainable aviation fuel, (3) development of the liquid sunshine industry, and the (4) high-value utilization of carbon dioxide.

As a flagship component of the conference, the International Forum on Sustainable Industry Cooperation will bring together leading experts from global research institutions, universities, companies, and industry organizations around the world. The Forum will focus on sustainable chemicals and materials, sustainable aviation fuel, green methanol, carbon dioxide utilization, and high-value biomass conversion. It will explore key scientific challenges, barriers to industrialization, models for international cooperation, and emerging market opportunities, with the goal of strengthening open collaboration across global sustainable industry value chains.

In addition, ChinaSIC 2026 will feature a Sustainable Frontier Technologies and Young Scholar Forums, high-level closed-door industry roundtables, technology showcases, business matchmaking sessions, expert consultations, new product launches, partnership signing ceremonies, and a sustainable industry exhibition.

Ⅳ.Introduction to Previous Events

ChinaSIC 2026 builds on a series of professional forums organized by DT New Materials over the past five years, including the High-Value Utilization of Non-Food Biomass Forum, the Liquid Sunshine Industry Development Forum, the Sustainable Aviation Fuel Industry Exchange Meeting, and the Carbon Dioxide High-Value Utilization Forum. Together, these events have attracted more than 3,000 participants from research institutes, universities, companies, and investment organizations, creating a strong platform across the renewable carbon value chain, from bio-feedstock and conversion technologies to downstream applications

High-Value Utilization of Non-Food Biomass Forum

Organized by DT New Materials, the High-Value Utilization of Non-Food Biomass Forum has been held for five consecutive editions since 2021, attracting more than 1,500 participants in total. In 2025, the forum was co-hosted by DT New Materials and the National Key Laboratory of Bio-based Transportation Fuel Technology, bringing together 400 participants for in-depth discussions across eight thematic sessions in two major areas: non-food biomass-based chemicals and materials, and non-food biomass energy. Representatives from leading institutions and companies—including Academician Qilong Ren of Zhejiang University, a Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Academician Chunbao Xu of City University of Hong Kong, a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering; Professor Jin Zhu of the Ningbo Institute of Materials Technology and Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences; as well as COFCO, Sinopec Research Institute of Petroleum Processing, and Tianguan Group—shared their perspectives on key challenges and potential solutions.

Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Industry Exchange Meeting

On November 27, 2025, the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Industry Exchange Meeting, co-hosted by the National Key Laboratory of Bio-based Transportation Fuel Technology and DT New Materials, was held in Hangzhou. The meeting brought together 30 leading experts and corporate representatives from organizations including Zhejiang University, Civil Aviation University of China, COMAC, CRCC Investment Group, China Power Engineering, CHN Energy, Henan Tianguan Group, and Junheng Biological. Discussions focused on key issues facing the SAF industry, including the selection of technology pathways, policy optimization, and the harmonization of certification standards. In 2026, the 2nd Green Fuels and Sustainable Aviation Fuel Forum will expand the discussion from SAF to the broader green fuels sector, including green methanol.

Development of Liquid Sunshine Industry Forum

“Liquid sunshine fuels” generally refer to fuels produced from water and carbon dioxide using renewable energy, such as solar power, as the primary energy input. Green methanol is one representative example of this concept. Organized by DT New Materials, the Development of Liquid Sunshine Industry Forum has been held for five editions since 2021, attracting more than 1,000 participants in total. In 2025, the forum welcomed more than 200 industry representatives and researchers from China and abroad. Renowned experts and representatives from leading organizations—including Academician Li Can’s team from the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Maersk, Honeywell, and Geely/Farizon New Energygathered to discuss key topics such as trends in the green methanol industry, technologies for large-scale production, biomass gasification, industrial ecosystem development, and application scenarios.

  Carbon Dioxide High‑Value Utilization Forum

Organized by DT New Materials, the Carbon Dioxide High-Value Utilization Forum was launched in 2025 in conjunction with the 5th Development of Liquid Sunshine Industry Forum. The Forum focused on the latest technologies and market developments in the capture and conversion of CO₂ and other C1 gases, reframing carbon emissions as valuable carbon resources. It has since become an important platform for industry–academia dialogue in this field. In 2026, it will be held as an independent thematic forum during ChinaSIC 2026.
