Ceramic Cells

1. Company Introduction

Ceramic Cells was founded by the research team ledby Professor Zhan Zhongliang at the University of Science and Technology of China. The company specializes in the R&D and manufacturing of solid oxide hydrogen stacks, aiming to deliver world-class products with fully proprietary intellectual property and accelerate industrial commercialization.

On June 28,2024, Ceramic Cells launched its self-developed SOEC-CH4 stack. Based on SOEC technology,SOEC-CH4 converts biomethane, steam, and renewable electricity into high-purity green hydrogen andrenewable CO2, providing low-cost feedstock gas for downstream green fuel synthesis.

Focusing on stack innovation and manufacturing, Ceramic Cells works closely with partners to co-developbalance-of-plant (BOP) systems, jointly advancing theelectrochemical hydrogen and green liquid fuelsmarket.

2. New Product Information

    New Product:SOEC-CH4

Product Introduction

As the world's first water electrolysis stack coupled with biomethane, SOEC-CH₄ is built on Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cell (SOEC) technology. By using biomethane, steam, and renewable electricity as inputs, the stack simultaneously produces high-purity green hydrogen and renewable CO₂ at an operating temperature of approximately 600°C.

To produce 1 Nm³ of H₂ and 0.25 Nm³ of CO₂, the stack consumes only 1 kWh of electricity and 0.25 Nm³ of biomethane, enabling low-cost production of feed gases for green fuels.

Its modular design supports both large-scale and distributed production, making it a promising solution for distributed projects with annual capacities of 10,000 tonnes or more.

Low CAPEX. Low OPEX.
